Selected programs from Neighborhood House at Rainier Vista:

The Elderly Outreach Program connects seniors with resource service to help maintain their independency – advocating for them with SHA, DSHA etc. Neighborhood House informs seniors of the entitlements they are eligible for and their rights. Annie is available Efrem speaks Tigrinya and Amharic and is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Gurey speaks Somali and is available Mondays and Tuesdays.

The SHA Translation Program provides interpretation, translation, outreach and advocacy for the East African residents of Rainier Vista. Services include assistance with communicating with SHA management, information and assistance accessing public entitlement programs, and other bi-lingual information and referral services. Efrem speaks Tigrinya and Amharic and is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Gurey speaks Somali and is available Mondays and Tuesdays.

College Fair at Yesler Community Center

Seattle Housing Authority children ages 13 to 17 on subsided or section 8 program are encouraged to attend this resource fair and will get information for the "Dream Big Scholarship" as well.
