Free Dental Assistance

What is the Children's Health Initiative?

The Children's Health Initiative is a King County program. The goals are to enroll children in health insurance programs for which they are eligible, help them find a regular doctor and dentist, and to encourage families to get preventative care for their children: well child visits and early dental visits.

In Need of Dental Care?

There is free dental care coverage available in King County that you might be eligible for right now!! One of these programs may help you or your children!

The Community Assistance Health Access Program(CHAP) can help you access dental (and medical) referrals. 1 800 756 kids

Staff is on hand to answer your questions. Staff speak Spanish as well. Phone interpreters through CHAP are also available for those that speak other languages.

There also is a KC Kids Dental Program that offers dental coverage at no cost to children who qualify. The eligibility requirements are:

· children must be under 20 years of age,

· live in King County,

· are not currently on dental insurance and

· meet the income guidelines.
