Know Your Rights!
Immigrant Legal Workshops
Workshops will educate newcomers to King County about their rights and determine what to do when rights haven’t been respected.

First Thursdays April, May, and June
6 - 7 p.m.

April 3 Rights of Immigrant and Refugee Workers
Does your employer owe you wages? Have you been discriminated against at work? During this presentation attorneys will discuss common violations of Washington Labor Law and strategies for workers who face them.

May 1 Understanding Immigration Status,
Laws, and Documents
What is the difference between a Social Security Number and an ITIN Number, and when should you use one versus the other? When must you disclose your immigration status and what documents do you need as proof? Topics include: current policies, dealing with employers and police, ICE raids, and influencing US immigration policy.

May 15 Rights of Homeless and Migrant Immigrants
What housing is available to you as a homeless immigrant? What services do you qualify for? What can you do if you lose your immigration papers? Attorneys and service providers will discuss these questions and current laws that impact the lives of homeless immigrants and migrants in King County.

Presentations are in English and Spanish.
Interpretation in other languages is available upon request.
